Borderlands Legends Coming to iOS Platforms?

iOS gamers will get their share of Gearbox Software developed Borderlands 2. The first-person shooter role-playing game is getting ready to be dished out to iOS gamers. The information was revealed in an advertisement featured for Borderland iOS game, IGN reported.

The site also mentions that Borderlands Legends is "specifically designed for mobile and tablet" and will be released this month, according to a page from the Borderlands 2 digital strategy guide.

The ad said players will be able to play the role of Roland, Lilith, Mordecai or Brick, and wipe off waves of enemies in random missions. New features will adorn the game - thousands of weapons, 36 powers and abilities, a "strategic cover system" and a Fight for Your Life mode.

"Each character has their own set of unique skills and abilities. Use them wisely to survive!" the ad said.

The ad also revealed that newer weapons in the game can be purchased through in-game cash. As of now, Borderlands Legends has not yet been announced. Borderlands 2 was released to stores mid-September. The game got its first DLC last week.

Last week, Gearbox president Randy Pitchford told IGN that he would like to see Borderlands 2 on Vita. The game runs on a modified Unreal Engine 3. It received critical acclaim, with IGN giving it an amazing rating of 9.0 out of 10.

"Borderlands 2 preserves the best parts of the franchise while also making numerous, much needed improvements to areas like narrative and class skill design... Prepare to level. Prepare to loot. Prepare to get lost in the hilarious, bizarre and wonderful world of Pandora," a report by IGN stated last month.
