‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News, Release Date & Update: Fixes, Guide To Play on Jailbroken iPhones Here!

‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News, Release Date & Update: Fixes, Guide To Play on Jailbroken iPhones Here!

Niantic has released a new update for “Pokemon Go” for both the iOS and Android. Apple owners will now have version 1.3.0 while Android users got their game versions bumped up to 0.33.0.

Like most fixes, the latest update carries bug fixes for both versions. For this article, here are what Apple users can look forward to with the latest “Pokemon Go” 1.3.0 update.

Improved dialogues and throws

For Apple owners, the bug associated with the dialogues and proper awarding of PokeBall throws (“Nice, “Great” and “Excellent”) has been patched up. This means that the proper XP bonuses should be expected.

Aside from that, the 1.3.0 update will also benefit Trainers. Nicknames can be changed though the appropriate one is advised.

Battery Saver mode addressed

The problem with the battery saver mode on “Pokemon Go” for iOS has reportedly been fixed as well plus improved visuals for the team leaders (“Candela”, “Blanche” and “Spark”). The ‘Nearby Pokemon’ feature could be coming soon with Niantic still doing the necessary testing for it.

Jailbroken iPhones in the clear?

Thanks to the efforts of a YouTuber (“iCrackUriDevice”), even jailbroken devices can get hold of the latest “Pokemon Go” patch. For the ones who may have updated to iOS 9.3.4, downgrading to iOS 9.3.3 will be needed for this one.

The unofficial Cydia app needs to be installed as well. This will help in allowing “Pokemon Go” to actually run on the device by nullifying the game’s anti-jailbreak protection, BGR reported.

Once all that has been done, users just need to launch the game where they will see the menus of “Pokemon Go”. They can do the necessary adjustments via the settings, including how to walk the map without actually leaving one place. For those wary about getting caught, the hack includes a measure that prevents Niantic from determining if you are cheating your way through “Pokemon Go”.

While that could work for now, be reminded that Niantic may eventually find a way to see how the hack is working. As often reminded, use this technique at your own risk!
