‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News, Release Date & Update: Niantic Cracking Whip With Lifetime Bans

Niantic is busy addressing bugs and issues tied up to “Pokemon Go” though it will only be a matter of time before the game developer starts moving forward and deal with cheats. And it looks like that time has come with reports that they are on the verge of implementing bans on players.

Ordinarily, the bans were speculated to be mild ones seeing the popularity of “Pokemon Go”. Patches have been released to fix those exploits but the fact remains that there are too many to handle. Hence, Niantic may have had enough and will crack the whip.

Permanent Ban to be enforced

Word is out that Niantic will employ permanent bands on erring “Pokemon Go” players who continue to resort to cheats like GPS spoofing. Despite addressing the celebrated aid that third party apps like “PokeVision” offered, such has hardly slowed down addicted gamers from using alternatives.

With a cat-and-mouse game between Niantic and “Pokemon Go” players, the only recourse is to actually ban players who are caught cheating. Right now, players who are playing fairly should not be alarmed. Rather it could be the ones who have invested heavily and used the apps and bots to aid them in catching the elusive “Pokemon Go” characters.

The thing is that GPS spoofing is only the tip of the iceberg. There are other cheats that “Pokemon Go” players use such as the “Pokeball thrower”. For those who are unfamiliar with it, this is a tactic that helps players nab the strong Pokemon characters. It is a simple aid that requires no technical expertise to use.

Play fair, worry less

With the time or reckoning upon them, “Pokemon Go” players may want to heed the warning. Some may be still on the loose but once Niantic pins them down, there is no telling if they can be reinstated or what they stand to lose.

Niantic means business as many can check out at their FAQ section. Stay tuned to Game & Guide for more updates on "Pokemon Go."
