The official trailer of "Iron Man 3" is out.
A teaser trailer was released Iron Man fans on the official "Iron Man" Facebook page on Sunday.
Marvel has also released the poster and pictures from the movie on its official "Iron Man 3" website.
The trailer starts on a gloomy note.
"I've got a lot of apologizes to make," said a wounded Tony Stark laying in a mound of snow.
Ben Kinsley, taking on the role of Mandarin, addresses himself as a teacher, even though people might call him a terrorist, announces that that there is no such thing as heroes.
The trailer shows the seaside villa of Stark being bombed to bits and him being pulled away to the depth of ocean. All his Iron Man armor appears to be destroyed. The last scene sees Stark dragging his Iron Man suit through the snow.
The trailer also shows the new Extremis armor, Pepper in trouble, and some action shots where Iron Man saves a passenger from an aircraft.
Shane Black, who made his directorial debut in "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" and contributed to movies like "Lethal Weapon" and "Boy Scout", will be directing this movie.
The movie is based on Drew Pearce's screenplay. It will star Robert Downey Jr., Kingsley, Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce, Jon Favreau, Rebecca Hall, William Sadler, James Badge Dale and the voice of Paul Bettany.
The film is based on Marvel's superhero, Iron Man, who appeared in 1963 in "Tales of Suspense".
It will be released to theatres May 3, 2013.
