Depending on how experience a “Pokemon Go” player is, it seems understandable that Niantic will reach a point of tweaking things a bit by making the game harder.
From their viewpoint, it makes the game more challenging and keeps players wanting to achieve something. While that is understandable, it may depend on the tweaks being done by Niantic on “Pokemon Go”.
Among the changes noted by Kotaku include the capture rates on the Pokemon characters and making them more agile. This means that they are harder to capture, not to mention rendering wasted PokeBalls thrown by players.
Worse, the critters manage to get away. This means that one hit may not be enough so one can imagine the agony that “Pokemon Go” players at higher levels have to deal with.
PokeBall buying a trend soon?
It was mentioned that players who have a bad aim or fail to consistently hit on the Pokemon critters with one swish end up wasting their ammunition. Hence, it may not be surprising that at some point to find players running out of PokeBalls.
Some may wait for the spawns at PokeStops but everyone knows these are meager. The best way is to buy them using real money, a tactic that has rubbed off on “Pokemon Go” players.
The move is not surprising since being a free game, it may be the only way Niantic can earn from the augmented reality game. But it also carries a risk of declining players, something that is pretty hard to imagine right now.
Refresh rate for “Pokemon Go” characters tweaked?
Another change noticed by most “Pokemon Go” players is the chance in frequency of scans for new monsters. The rate seems to have been tweaked a bit from 5 to 10 seconds.
Being a game where movement is critical, those additional 5 seconds could make a big difference. Much of that was tackled by TheTruckThunders via Reddit.
Niantic blames glitch
A consolation for dismayed “Pokemon Go” players is that Niantic has been addressing the queries on the changes. The game developer explains that the recent issues are tied up to an alleged glitch and that they are working on it right now.

Depending on a “Pokemon Go” player’s viewpoint, some may not buy the claim. Then again, it would be best to see if Niantic tweaks a bit, either because of the complaints or an actual glitch.
