‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Update: US Government Banning Game Permanently Soon? Niantic Drew More & More Flaks!

There is no denying that "Pokemon Go" is now the most popular game in the planet. However, as it continue to break records, more and more problems caused by game proliferate.

U.S. Government plans to permanently ban 'Pokemon Go'

The Washington Times has reported that "Pokemon Go" players are not allowed to play the game inside the U.S. Department of Defense. Sources have stated that the government agency fears that hackers could use the Niantic augmented-reality game to attack their system.

Washington Times stated that hackers could seek vital data on their faculty and staff, including their secured facilities. Officials of the government agency worry that crooks will be using the GPS feature of the "Pokemon Go" game to track their faculty and staff as they move around the city.

Additionally, the "Pokemon Go" game could also become an instrument to transmit personal data with access to secrets and other confidential information that could be used for spying, cyber-attacks and other crimes.  With these reports, fans cannot help but speculate that the U.S. Government could entirely ban the game soon to protect vital information and documents.

Niantic is yet to comment on these reports. So, "Pokemon Go" players should not worry as these claims remain unconfirmed up to this moment.

U.S. House of Representatives to ban 'Pokemon Go' too?

Meanwhile, GamenGuide has previously reported that the U.S. House of Representatives could also be planning to ban the "Pokemon Go" game in the country. It can be recalled that the government branch has issued a letter to Niantic, asking the company to explain the sudden hike of data consumption being experienced by the players.

The U.S. House of Representatives has claimed that they have received a lot of complains from "Pokemon Go" players about how the game eats large data consumption. The game company was asked to explain if it has issued precautionary warnings to the gamers before they start playing the game.

However, up to this writing, Niantic CEO John Hanke has not yet released any official statement regarding this matter. Fans should take everything with a grain of salt until it has been proven true or correct. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "Pokemon Go" news and updates!
