September is expected to be a month filled with new revelations. Two are expected to be unveiled – Apple’s iPhone 7 and potentially Sony’s PlayStation 4 Neo.
Sony has reportedly started to send out press invites to an event called “PlayStation Meeting” which will be held in New York. The belief is that the press conference will see Sony officially unveil the PlayStation 4 Neo and use that event to update folks on the status of the PlayStation business, Neurogadget reported.
The Sony PlayStation 4 Neo was something gamers were hoping to see at E3 back in June. With nothing to show, the upcoming event makes perfect sense to see the game console which will reportedly come out before 2016 comes to a close.
More powerful and perfect for the Holidays
Sony got a lot of attention as early as March 2016 with the PlayStation 4 Neo. The upcoming game console is tagged to be more powerful and something that will render support for high graphic and VR-ready games.
In a previous post, we did mention the potential features of the PS4 Neo. That was headlined by the PlayStation VR compatibility, 4K display support, and hardware upgrades. It was also mentioned at the time that Sony could opt to release the PS4 Neo alongside the PS Virtual Reality slated this October.
If the event is any indication, that rumor is slowly turning out to be true.
Paul Raines was spot on after all!
GameStop CEO Paul Raines found himself in the hot seat at the time for revealing in an interview that the Sony PS4 Neo was coming out this year. GameStop clarified that Raines never mentioned anything about the PS4 Neo coming out this year and touched more on the hardware. Either way, that seems to be irrelevant with the upcoming “PlayStation Meeting”, assuming that an update will be rendered on September 7 in New York.
