Electronic Arts has something in store for all "Star Wars Battlefront" gamers. In the works is a Rogue One themed VR Mission as well as an upcoming Star Wars Battlefront Expansion Pack called Death Star.
'Star Wars Battlefront' VR Mission
Electronic Arts and Criterion recently announced at the EA's Gamescom 2016 livestream that the upcoming "Star Wars Battlefront" VR Mission will borrow elements from the Rogue One movie. Pete Lake, a producer from Criterion, made the confirmation that the upcoming VR mission of Star Wars Battlefront will be Rogue One themed, reports IGN.
The upcoming "Star Wars Battlefront" VR Mission will give players the opportunity to pilot the iconic X-Wing fighter. What's even more exciting, Lake teased that players "maybe even dabble with a Star Destroyer."
The upcoming "Star Wars Battlefront" VR mission will be free for those who have already installed the "Star Wars Battlefront" game in their PlayStation4. However, no definite release date has been announced for the VR mission.
'Star Wars Battlefront' Death Star Expansion Pack
Aside from a VR Mission, players can look forward to the upcoming "Star Wars Battlefront" Death Star expansion pack. The Death Star expansion pack will bring exciting additional gameplay such as deep space skirmishes, reports PC Gamer.
The "Star Wars Battlefront" Death Star Expansion Pack will be introducing a new mode to the game called Battle Station. With the Battle Station mode activated, players will have access to three phases of battle.
In the first phase, the "Star Wars Battlefront" player leads X-Wings and A-Wings against TIE Fighters and Interceptors which form part of the defensive detail of an Imperial Star Destroyer. The second phase will utilize the new heroes to be introduced in the expansion pack such as Chewbacca and Bossk in the extraction of a "priority droid." And lastly, the third phase will let gamers play as Luke Skywalker wrecking havoc on the enemy.
'Star Wars Battlefront' VR Mission, Expansion Pack Release Dates
There is no specific VR Mission release date at the moment but it would be rolled out in the coming holidays.
