‘Pokemon GO’ Latest News & Update: Niantic on a Cleanup Drive For a Fair & Fun Experience; Pokemon Gyms Left Unoccupied?

Fair and square wins the game; at least that's what "Pokemon GO" non-hackers and non-cheaters have come to realize after Niantic Labs banned countless cheaters and hackers started getting rid of third-party apps damaging the image of the game. Thus, those who played the game the way it should be played have emerged as winners.

Reports are coming in of Pokemon Gyms being left unattended post Niantic's bans came into effect. Niantic game servers are now experiencing a considerable drop in spatial queries per second, reports The Bitbag. Affected "Pokemon GO" users may be vehemently protesting against the bans but what needs to be done, got to be done.

Niantic is hell-bent in sticking to the "Pokemon GO" mantra on which it was launched - getting players out of their homes and chasing Pokemons outside. Establishing interpersonal interactions within the game is also a prime objective.

Thus, it's time for the cheaters and hackers to pay as Niantic is stripping unfair "Pokemon GO" players off their accounts. Players using calculators, Pokemon locators, GPS Spoofing and third-party apps are facing a tough time. As a result, Pokemon Gyms are unoccupied and levels are being taken down to Level 1.

Gyms where trainers left eggs have also been taken down. As per the "Pokemon GO" guidelines, trainers can put a Pokemon inside a gym but not eggs. Protection from would-be attackers is the primary focus of putting Pokemons inside gyms. Placing an egg instead of a Pokemon crashes the game.

Players were using hacks to allow trainers lay claim of any Pokemon Gym indefinitely. That's going to change as more and more "Pokemon GO" players are being banned. The eggs are gone. In certain cases, Pokemon Gyms in remote areas are being cleared out, especially when the owner is miles away from the Gym.

"Our goal is to provide a fair, fun and legitimate game experience for everyone. We will continue to work with all of you to improve the quality of the gameplay, including ongoing optimization and fine tuning of our anti-cheat system," read Niantic's Pokemon GO website.
