'No Man's Sky' Latest News & Update: New PS4 Update Arriving This Week, Will Fix Majority of Crashes

"No Man's Sky" has taken the world by storm when it was released earlier this month, but as with any new releases, the highly anticipated and critically acclaimed game has encountered several issues upon launch. Great news for fans and gamers though, as a new update is arriving this week for those on PlayStation 4, and it's aiming to fix majority of crashes.

According to IGN, the studio has taken to Twitter to announce that a new "No Man's Sky" PS4 update arriving this week aims to fix majority of crashes. The patch for PlayStation 4 will address several reported issues in the game. Director Sean Murray has been vocal about providing gamers with ample support especially in the game's early stages of release.

We recently reported that Hello Games hired a large external QA group to support them in the process of working on critical issues of the game. Murray said that they are determined to achieve 100% resolution for all issues, and that they would continue to work hard to get there.

Video Gamer reports that as per Hello Games, whenever the PlayStation 4 crashes while playing "No Man's Sky," it sends them a crash dump, which they then compiled in order to address them one by one, "in order of priority." The studio claims that the crash dump has been useful to them in the process of fixing majority of crashes in the game.

Just this Sunday, Patch 1.05 was released for "No Man's Sky," and it addressed 87% of crash issues for PlayStation 4. The upcoming Patch 1.06 is set to address as much as 90% of crash issues on PS4. It is currently in its testing stage ahead of its release this week.
