FromSoftware has finally released the trailer for the upcoming "Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel" DLC arriving October 25. The highly anticipated DLC for the Bandai Namco-published action RPG sends gamers back to the Painted World of Ariamis, which is an optional area in the original "Dark Souls" game.

According to IGN, gamers will be tasked to determine why the "frozen land" has become so desolate. The upcoming "Ashes of Ariandel" DLC not only focuses on this gloomy location, but will also introduce exciting new features in the game's multiplayer mode.

Gamespot reports that while the trailer makes sure not to spoil anything from the "Dark Souls 3"'s "Ashes of Ariandel" plot, it does hint at how players must "defeat the evil within" and "uncover a terrible secret" behind why the city was turned into ruins. It seems that with this new DLC arriving October 25, FromSoftware is honoring the roots of "Dark Souls 3" and heading back to the original game. It even has an enemy that is reminiscent of the Crow Demon.

Fans should expect interesting new weapons, awesome armor sets, and fantastic magic to play around with once the "Ashes of Ariendel" DLC arrives for "Dark Souls 3." This will be the first of three expansions plotted for the game, which is the third iteration in the series. The upcoming DLC will retail for $14.99, and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Fans should also expect another DLC coming this 2017.

Gamers would be delighted to know that they can get "Dark Souls 3" season pass for just $24.99. Meanwhile, the game is available at Steam for a discount price of $39.99, an offer that will last until tomorrow only.

"Dark Souls 3" is directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, Isamu Okano, and Yui Tanimura. It was honored as the Best RPG in last year's Gamescom. For more information, visit the game's Steam page.
