'Pokemon GO' News & Update: Bug Leads To Zero Pokemon Sightings In Poke Gyms; No Quick Fix Available?

"Pokemon Go" players are complaining about a bug in gyms, resulting to zero Pokemon sightings. When players try to view creatures on the map, there will not be any.

Niantic Labs have actively been providing new updates and patches for the game, although some of these also brought in new bugs. The "Pokemon Go" gym bug has been troubling for many trainers, since they cannot find any Pokemon when visiting gyms. Some "Pokemon Go" players believe that the gym but is connected with the previous Grimer bug that causes phones to freeze. However, it was confirmed that the new issue is unrelated to the Grimer bug.

The Bitbag reported that players complained about failing to find any Pokemon when going to gyms. Some also reported that "Pokemon Go" crashes when they are trying to locate Pokemon on the map. According to some "Pokemon Go" players, the gym bug cannot be fixed by completely restarting their device. Reinstalling the app will not solve the problem as well, so they forwarded the issue to Niantic Labs.

The gym bug affects players from various parts of the world. "Pokemon Go" trainers who are currently holding affected gyms will find the bug very helpful, since they can claim it for a longer period of time. Since potential challengers cannot find any existing Pokemon in the gym, they will not be able to challenge the current holder.

Heavy stated that earlier in August 2016, a "Pokemon Go" glitch also triggered all Pokemon gyms and Pokestops to disappear from the map. The "Pokemon Go" glitch may have been the result of an update that released on August 10. Some players shared that there are a few quick fixes such as fully restarting the app or device, as well as connecting on a Wi-Fi network. Based on the available fixes, the new bug seems to be more serious and more difficult to fix.

The "Pokemon Go" developer is reportedly developing a fix for the gym bug. The next update will hopefully provide a quick fix for the problem. More updates and details on "Pokemon Go" are expected soon.
