Ronda Rousey Latest New & Update: Octagon Return Bout Finally Happening December 30?

The wait continues on Ronda Rousey and her possible UFC return. UFC president Dana White has not given up on the former champion but promises that once it happens, it would be record-breaking.

There is no question that Rousey is a big draw but the fact that she continues to hold off leaves more questions than answers. Since suffering her first loss in November 2015 to Holly Holm at UFC 193, Rousey has been busy in Hollywood than anything else.

The loss hit her hard, something that went as far as hearing her consider suicide as an option. That jab drew various reactions with most believing that it was a sign that Rousey was mentally weak.

Regardless, that hasn’t dampened the belief of White that Rousey has closed the door on the UFC. He still expects his cash-cow to return at some point though there is obviously no timetable.

If and when Rousey does decide to return, there is no question that the world will be watching. That event will likely be better than the Conor Mcgregor vs. Nate Diaz tussles and for good reason. Rousey has always been a big draw and the drama going on right now all the more hypes all that.

But the problem now is that much of the Ronda Rousey return fight belief has been nothing more than rumors. It may or may not happen though the delay is allegedly due to a bunch of minor surgeries, the NY Post reported.

The UFC is sticking to its stand of seeing Rousey return before 2016 ends. The initial word was that it would take place at UFC 205 on Nov. 12 though even that has been pushed back.

Instead, Ronda Rousey’s return may happen on December 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. If Rousey still doesn’t appear by then, it may be safe to say that she is one step out of the Octagon – for good.
