"Resident Evil 4" has been re-mastered for Xbox One and PS4. A gameplay footage for the survival horror third-person shooter video game was recently released by Biohazard on its official YouTube channel. The purpose of its release was to showcase fans how the game looks in its promised 60 frames per second speed and 1080p full HD gameplay.
Fans will be surprised to see the amazing texture of the frames. The "Resident Evil 4" footage looks sharp as many in-game elements have also been re-textured apart from the boost in resolution from 720p to 1080p. Even the items have received improved texture. It's a massive improvement for the previous console's HD Remaster. It had evident blurred meshes.
The "Resident Evil 4" video shows US government special agent Leon S. Kennedy traversing a village in search for the President's daughter who was kidnapped by cult members under Los Illuminados' command. Set in a village in Spain, Leon fights mutated monsters and violent villagers and reunites with the mysterious spy Ada Wong.
Another footage shows Leon guiding Ashley Graham as they enter a castle. This is where Ashley helps Leon in solving a puzzle. The video shows marked improvements in lighting effects.
The real HD version of "Resident Evil 4" will officially release on Aug. 30 and will be priced at $19.99. This version of the game will have all the add-ons previously released for the original game and this will include New Game Plus, Mercenaries and Ada Wong's side story, writes Mobile & Apps.
"Resident Evil 4" was the sixth major installment of the game series and was originally released for the GameCube in North America and Japan in January 2005, and in Europe and Australia in March 2005.
Although the game started a trend in third-person shooting games in terms of mechanics, camera angles and control, it also shifted from its survival horror feel to a more action-shooter dynamic.
