Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA V) on Wii U?

The vice president of creativity for Rockstar Games has indicated that Grand Theft Auto 5 might head to other platforms like Wii U and PC.

Dan Houser told IGN that Wii U and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto 5 are "up for consideration."

"The main thing is we are not... we are a third-party publisher. We're not Nintendo, we're not Sony, we're not Microsoft. We love all of them in different ways. But we can do what we want wherever there's the appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market. If that's on Apple we put something on Apple."

"The folks there have said very nice public comments about the Wii U. In the end, it is Nintendo's responsibility to have a large installed base, to have development tools that help the developers and publishers create great content, and essentially create an environment where teams like Rockstar can bring their very best content to our platform," said Reggie Fils-Aime, president and CEO Nintendo America to MTV, Nov.18.

"If we do that hopefully the very best content throughout the entire industry will show up on Wii U."

Houser also said that there won't be any motion gaming using for Grand Theft Auto 5 using PlayStation Move or the Xbox Kinect, as "the experience will feel disjointed if mini games are included in Grand Theft Auto 5 that use motion controls," Think Digit reported.

Rockstar Games has previously supported Wii with Bully, Bully 2, Manhunt 2 and others.

Rockstar has not announced any Wii U projects.

Many of the big names in the gaming industry are making inroads into the Wii U console, including gaming titles like Batman Arkham City, Assassin's Creed 3 and others.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is scheduled for a Spring 2013 release.
