Studio Wildcard teased that "Ark: Survival Evolved" will have a massive update on Sept. 1, 2016. The developer did not specify the details of its first supposed mega-update for the dinosaur survival game, but it provided a cryptic image, which appears to be a kind of terrain with a bright light at the end.
According to Studio Wildcard, "Ark: Survival Evolved" will feature a brontosaurus-sized reveal. The game developer will reportedly attend PAX West in full force to showcase its new playable content. PAX West will happen from Sept. 2 to 5, 2016 in Seattle. Studio Wildcard will set up its 16-foot T-Rex prop at the show as well, together with a companion, which may arrive in the "Ark: Survival Evovled" reveal.
GameSpot revealed that co-creative director Jeremy Stieglitz wrote that there will be a new update for the Xbox One Game Preview version of "Ark: Survival Evolved" soon. It will introduce excellent graphics on Xbox One via full 720p 3D rendering and 1080p UI.
Windows Central reported that the upgraded game visuals will arrive in Patch v739, introducing an enhancement of 10 percent in the relatively unstable frame rate of "Ark: Survival Evolved." It will also provide several features to Xbox One that PC players have been experiencing for quite some time.
Patch v7 39 of "Ark: Survival Evolved" will add four new creatures, namely Allosaurus, Pelagornis, Tapejara and Archeopteryx. There will also be new features like spiral staircases, industrial grinders and giant ceiling dinosaur doors. There are also new fishing mechanics in the game.
"Ark: Survival Evolved" is currently available on Xbox One and PC. Although the game is not deemed a finished product, it has sold over 5.5 million copies. Studio Wildcard intends to launch the game on PlayStation 4 as well, but Sony prohibits in-development games on the console. If "Ark: Survival Evolved" is finalized, a PlayStation 4 version is most likely in place.
In the meantime, the Survival of the Fittest version of "Ark: Survival Evolved" has returned to the main game. The main title is discounted to $21 on Xbox Live, probably to celebrate the recent announcement. More updates and details on "Ark: Survival Evolved" are expected soon.
