NBA Trade Rumors 2016: Stephen Curry Joins Kevin Durant As New Charlotte Hornets Player? Superstars Athlete Leaves Golden State Warriors For Good?

In this NBA off season time, all kinds of rumors are present in the web. One particular rumor is about the Charlotte Hornets trying to snatch one of Golden State Warriors' superstar players when the player's contract expires next year. Stephen Curry will soon become a free agent next year and Charlotte Hornets wants the star player in their roster due to his family's North Carolina heritage where the Hornets are based.

Stephen Curry being associated with North Carolina goes way back, when the Warriors Guard studied at Charlotte Christian in Charlotte and, then, the Golden State Warriors player went to Davidson College in Davidson to study. Stephen Curry's father, Dell Curry, was also a NBA player for the Hornets in 1988 to 1998.

According to Jonny Auping of RealGM, Stephen Curry transferring to Charlotte Hornets next year is unlikely to happen. Auping added that the performance of the team can have an affect with Stephen Curry's decision to sign with another team in 2017. There are also concerns of chemistry within the new Warriors lineup whether or not the team can pull off another shot in the Finals.

Meanwhile, Stephen Curry has a long history with the Warriors in his career in the NBA with the Warriors Guard having paid with a sum of $12.1 million contract that will end in 2017. A report from Sportsrageous state that Stephen Curry can sign with another team if the Warriors can't pull a Finals win this season.

If the team-up with Stephen Curry fails to deliver in the court, Kevin Durant can explore free agency again. However, one thing is for sure that whatever happens, Golden State Warriors can lose the chance of getting another NBA Title again, if the Curry-Durant magic won't spark.
