'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare' Latest News, Release Date & Update: Multiplayer Boasts New Features, Beta Begins October 14

There's so much to look forward to ahead of the release of Infinity Ward's "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," which will arrive this November 4. In fact, beta begins October 14 for those on PlayStation 4, as per Activision's announcement during the recently concluded 'Call of Duty XP' fan event. Fans who would like to participate in the beta must pre-order the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Those who play on PC will unfortunately be left out of the beta.

According to Polygon, the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" beta will only be available for those who are on PlayStation 4 beginning October 14. For those who are on Xbox One, Eurogamer suggests waiting at least three days for the beta to arrive. No official announcements have been made regarding the arrival of the beta for Xbox One players.

Meanwhile, those who do get to access the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" beta on PlayStation 4 will have free access to the VR add on called Jackal Assault, which will give players complete control of the fighter cockpit. That makes for an awesome experience altogether.

The game is receiving some early positive reviews, as Forbes reports that the upcoming "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is visually stunning, with its combat being very reminiscent of the previous "Call of Duty" releases. There are new combat rigs and prototype weapons and the ability to customize the gamer's play style, which they called "handy."

Likewise, Gamespot commends the new Rig system as one of the most notable differences between "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" and the game's previous iterations. They even liken the game to Blizzard Entertainment's "Overwatch," because of the addition of these Rigs. Gamers will get to know FTL who has the ability to space-jump, the sniper named Phantom who can become invisible, and Synaptic, a four-legged robot that is like a wolf who will tear down his enemies. This and more in the upcoming multiplayer of the game.

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is directed by Jacob Minkoff and published by Activision. The game will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this November 4, and the beta will begin for PlayStation 4 gamers this October 14.
