Tokyo-based Konami revealed details of the new soundtrack for its upcoming action video game Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Nov. 26.
The CD is called "Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Vocal Tracks". It contains 29 music tracks. The CD box will also have a booklet.
The CD will be available for 2.940 yen (approximately $35) and will be released in Japan Feb. 20, 2013.
If players are buying the game's Premium Package, the CD will be part of the package, said Konami in its Web site.
Konami has also released details of the characters in the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance game, IGN reported.
Raiden (voice: Quinton Flynn): Raiden is a Cyborg who uses his trademark "high-frequency blade" which can slice through metal and concrete. Being an orphan rescued from Liberia, he becomes an experimental subject known as "S3 Plan", coming under a group called "Patriots". He devotes himself to fighting the Patriots and joins a private military security company called "Maverick Security Consulting".
Samuel Rodrigues (voice: Philip Anthony-Rodriguez): He is also a Cyborg and is employed by private military company "Desperado Enforcement" who were rivals of Raidan. He uses a high-frequency blade too and fights with a Brazilian technique influenced by the Japanese "New Shadow School" of swordsmanship.
LQ-84i (voice: Michael Beattie): It is a robot that has a learning optical neuro-AI and a prototype verbal interface. He is ordered by Desperado to kill Raidan.
Sundowner (voice: Crispin Freeman): Leader of Desperado Enforcement, who has special cyborg body that is superior to an average cyborg contractor. He uses dual-wielding technique and is armed with a large high-frequency machete called "Bloodlust".
Mistral (voice: Salli Saffioti): A female Cyborg who works for the Desperado. She uses a whip-like weapon called "Etranger" which can be hardened and used like a halberd.
Monsoon (voice: John Kassir): He works for Desperado too. His weapon is a magnetic sai called "Dystopia" and can break his own body in two.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Feb. 19, 2013.
