Is Joseph Gordon-Levitt The Batman For 'Justice League'?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is reportedly set to play the role of the caped crusader for "Justice League" movie.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt "absolutely will be appearing in 'Justice League' as the new Batman," Hit Flix reported.

The website noted that "they appear to be solidifying deals for Gordon-Levitt and, potentially, at least one other actor from the Nolan films to do... something."

Hit Flix also reported that Batman might show up in "Man of Steel's" post credits sequence.

In an interview with New York Post, Zack Snyder, director of "Man of Steel", said, "I don't know how 'Justice League' is going to be handled. Honestly, I don't... But Man of Steel exists, and Superman is in it. I don't know how you'd move forward without acknowledging that."

Henry Cavill, who will take on the role of Superman in "Man of Steel", might potentially appear in the Justice League movie too.

"Um, how can I answer that?... I can't really say anything to that, because that's a big spoiler. I will say, yeah, they trust me to keep them on course," he added further.

It was revealed in "The Dark Knight Rises" that John Blake, Gotham City's police officer character played by Gordon Levitt, was Batman's junior counterpart, Robin. As Bruce Wayne steps away, there was speculation that Blake would step into the role of Batman.

ScreenRant reported that the drawback of having Gordon-Levitt playing the Batman was that since he is not Bruce Wayne, will Batman fans be okay with the idea?

Warner Bros. is trying to imitate the success of Marvel Studios, who made "The Avengers".

The "Justice League" movie is slated for a 2015 release.
