2K Games really outdid itself in the latest installment of the wrestling title. As promised, the new game is bigger; a total of 136 playable characters made it to the complete "WWE 2K17" Roster. The count could even get higher if one were to include special characters to be introduced exclusively to the NXT version of the game as well as the hoards that is sure to come with the inevitable DLCs later on.

At a quick glance, one can see that female wrestling stars gets represented more in the "WWE 2K17" roster. The complete list shows that are 23 female wrestling stars included in the upcoming game's lineup.

Aside from more representation of female wrestlers in the "WWE 2K17" roster, there is also one trend that caught the eyes of observers - the omission of certain stars. In fact, the absence of wrestlers who were present in previous WWE games presents an interesting topic for discussion.

Among the high-profile wrestlers that did not make it to the "WWE 2K17" roster is Batista notes IB Times. It was speculated that the star's outspoken nature, where he criticized the company for the treatment he received in 2014, could be blamed for his absence in the digital arena.

Other wrestling stars who were left out of the "WWE 2K17" roster include Ryback probably because he parted ways with the company due to pay inequality issues, CM Punk due to a lawsuit and The Club's Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows probably due to not making the deadline in time, being recent additions to the WWE family.
