"Mortal Kombat X" has been faring well with its previous DLCs, namely the Kombat Pack 1, Kombat Pack 2 and Mortal Kombat XL. Talks of Kombat Pack 3 in "Mortal Kombat X" began circulating although NetherRealm Studios has yet to make an official announcement.

"Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3 has not been introduced at EVO 2016. According to creative director Ed Boon, they did not plan to divulge any details at the event, although they are preparing something for "Mortal Kombat X" fans. Boon started a poll that hinted the potential release of Kombat Pack 3. He asked if gamers would purchase an Xbox One S. 27 percent voted no, seven percent voted yes, while 66 percent voted that they wanted Kombat Pack 3.

iTechPost reported that in the meantime, Kombat Pack 2 and Mortal Kombat XL are set to launch on the PC version of "Mortal Kombat X" on Oct. 4, 2016. Qloc was tasked by Warner Bros. to develop the technical updates in the second DLC, instead of their usual partners NetherRealm Studios and High Voltage. Mortal Kombat XL will include all the contents in the base game and Kombat Pack 1.

GameSpot stated that Kombat Pack 1 will feature four new characters to the roster, namely Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Kung Fu master Bo Rai Cho, Xenomorph (Aliens) and Triborg, a new robot. Kombat Pack 2 will feature four additional characters, including Predator and Jason Voorhees. There will be new skins to arrive in "Mortal Kombat X". The second DLC will reportedly provide a patch that will offer balance tweaks and improved overall gameplay.

Some "Mortal Kombat X" gamers speculated that Boon was teasing the development of the third DLC through the poll, instead of the arrival of the Xbox One S. However, there is no official confirmation from NetherRealm Studios yet, so fans should take the news with a grain of salt.

"Mortal Kombat X" Premium Edition with Kombat Pack 1 is currently available at $40. Mortal Kombat XL for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are priced at $60. More updates and details on "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3 are expected soon.
