'Clash of Clans' 2016 Latest News & Updates: ClashCon 2016 Cancelled; New Features, Game Improvements Coming; Details Here

"Clash of Clans" developer Supercell has recently announced that it will be cancelling it's much anticipated fan event "ClashCon 2016." While this may seem like bad news for most fans of the long running hit game, this might be a strategic move for the developer. It has been reported that Supercell has gone on red alert after "Clash of Clans" has been losing its once mighty fan base.

Mobile N Apps reports that the unfortunate news was announced by the team on its official "Clash of Clans" blog. There, the team said that "part of working in small teams means sometimes saying 'no' to things we badly want to do..." Then, they give the ultimatum on their event by another post which says that "unfortunately, this year, we have to say no to Clashcon."

The team explains further that they have decided that "the best way to thank our players is to stay focused on the things that benefit the entire Clash community." With this, the team plans to address by more additions, improvements, tweaks, and more experiences that players of the game can truly enjoy. The Bit Bag reports that the latest update for "Clash of Clans" has been a major disappointment for a lot of players. For some however, the news of the "ClashCon" cancellation gives them assurance that the team has been working hard for better changes and improvements that players have longed to see.

In addressing numerous complaints in balancing and improvements, Supercell has confirmed that it will release an update that will bring about the said changes. The release date for such update however, has not yet been confirmed but it is likely that it will come this month. It is also reported that after several years of being king of the mobile gaming industry, its reign has come to an end. A lot of players have taken the unexpected cancellation of "ClashCon" as Supercell's white flag as a lot of newer hit games have taken over.

While it is already definite that "ClashCon" will not push through for this year, loyal fans of the game should watch out for more events. Supercell said that it will still make efforts to host some fun events for its players all over the world.
