After hit mobile augmented reality game "Pokemon GO" has allegedly lost a lot of its players, it is apparently just setting up for a new gimmick under its sleeve. Gen 2 is about to be released anytime now and it reportedly carries with it a host of brand new features that will totally revamp the entire "Pokemon Go" experience.
iTech Post reports that some of the new features that the next update will carry would include buddy pokemon, trading, additional incense types, legendary Pokemons, and the addition of several others. It is also reported that 100 new Pokemon will be featured and over 86 new moves will be added to the game. A major feature in the new update called Baby Pokemon will be introduced in this latest update to "Pokemon Go."
These are basically Pokemon which are hatched from and egg through Pokemon breeding and will continue the legacy of evolution of some Pokemon which includes Onyx, Zubat, Chansey and Evee. Since breeding is limited only to very few Pokemons, it is not likely that these can be bred in order to produce Legendary types. GameNGuide previously reported that Legendary Pokemons which have been missing in "Pokemon Go" will be present in the next update and can be caught by players soon.
To support this great new feature, a new Pokemon Egg chart has been posted online which shows what Pokemon might come out of eggs. The chart is reportedly based on the pattern of the first generations egg chart, so it is very likely that Niantic would apply this pattern. Another feature would be different types of incense which would attract different classes of Pokemon which will depend on different elements of Pokemon used in the game. There have been talks about the next update enabling VR support which takes reference to Google Cardboard which means that the augmented reality feature is about to get more immersive.
A new update is expected to be released this September 5, however, this update would not include all those mentioned earlier. There is still no date as to when a Gen 2 update will be released, but Niantic always had its way in sustaining game ratings.
