Nintendo NX Latest News, Release Date & Update: ‘Dragon Quest’ Series, ‘Sonic 2017,’ ‘Just Dance 2017’ Confirmed; Independent Game Developers Showing Interest

Nintendo fans may rejoice as Nintendo NX has reportedly secured additional game titles such as the "Dragon Quest" series. Now fans will be eager to get their hands on the upcoming gaming platform. It is believed that the Nintendo NX will debut in March of next year and there will be new upcoming games for the gaming console.

Even though Nintendo has refrained from dishing out details about its upcoming platform, reports suggest that Nintendo NX would come out in March 2017. Also, games such as "Super Smash Bros.," and "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," will accompany its debut.

Nintendo NX's release date of March 2017 was confirmed by the company's financial statement report. Nintendo called its upcoming platform a "brand new concept" and that was it, nothing more, and nothing less.

As per Gaming Bolt, the latest top games added to the Nintendo NX console are "Just Dance 2017," "Sonic 2017" and "Dragon Quest 10" and "Dragon Quest 11." These games have been officially confirmed for the console. If that's not all, Independent Austrian game developer, Bplus, will be adding "Tank it!" to the gaming device.

"Tank it!" is a new war simulation game that will showcase the futility and brutality of war. The game has also been announced for Steam, to be released later this year, reported Go Nintendo. This is a great sign for Nintendo lovers as independent game developers are also excited about the upcoming Nintendo NX.

Gaming experts believe that the Nintendo NX would be a hybrid system consisting of both a mobile and a home system. The home system part can be plugged into the television where as the mobile part may consist of detachable and handheld controllers.

According to iTech Post, Nintendo NX will do away with discs and use cartridges instead. However, fans are not very happy about it as discs contain more storage data than cartridges. But, these are all rumors and nothing has been confirmed yet by Nintendo.
