HP Elite 3x Release Date, News & Update: Shipping Starts For $799; Unlocked Version Gets You One Neat Surprise!

HP Elite, a Windows 10 Mobile-based Elite x3, is available for purchase from HP's online store. The unlocked version of the 5.96-inch phablet comes with a desk clock in the box.

HP Elite 3x is said to be HP's comeback in the smartphone game this year. The new phablet reportedly features a 5.96-inch 560x1440 Quad HD AMOLED display with a pixel density of 494 pixels per inch (ppi). The phablet runs on Windows 10 Mobile operating system, while a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU powers the device, Tech Times reported.

President and Chief Executive Dion Weisler of HP Inc. believes that commercial mobility is prime for disruption and has never seen innovation. The HP Elite, according to him, is a revolutionary mobile platform that enables mobility and computing to come together in a truly meaningful way. Moreover, Weisler also believes that together with the strength of their partners, they are propelling the industry forward and turning the promise of mobile productivity into a reality for their customers.

HP Elite 3x equips 4 GB of RAM and sports 64 GB of internal storage capacity with a microSD expansion slot that is expandable up to 256 GB. HP also integrated a 16 MP rear camera with autofocus capability, LED flash, ability to capture 1080p video at 30fps and an 8 MP front camera. It includes a huge 4,150 mAh non-removable battery which HP claimed to provide up to 33 hours of talk time, 14 hours of web browsing and up to 500 hours of standby time, PC Mag reported.

HP Elite's free desk dock that is said to come with the phablet in the box is suggested to allow users to connect it to an external monitor for a full-featured desktop experience.
