Google Latest News & Update: Ditches Project Ara to Concentrate on 'Project Fi?' Read Details Here

Did Google ditch Project Ara to concentrate on the latest "Project Fi" expansion? Just recently, Google cancelled the development of the modular phone, they called Project Ara. Though, not much has been said about the real reason why they cancelled the project, rumors say, it was the impractical story of modular upgrades that made it unworthy.

Now, it looks like Google is moving on and is working on the expansion of "Project Fi." According to the Digital Trends, Google's mobile virtual network operator is seeking to expand in terms of implementing the family of group data plans. The service is slowly expanding to series of upgrades since it first launched its invite-only procedure in 2015.

Prior to today's plan on allowing "Project Fi" to allow group data plans, the virtual network from Google has expanded to platforms using Nexus 6, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. According to the Digital Trend, this new innovation from Google is also powered by the network's ability to adjust to network connections mainly, 2G, 3G, 4G or LTE.

Google's "Project Fi" group data plans works on putting several people to use the service, but with the owner, selecting managers to control the group. The owner of the group will then have the option to set their own data limit, in order to control the usage of the service.

Owners and Admins who, in reality controls the use of data can remove a user from the group data plan if consistent over exceeding on data is recorded. Google's "Project Fi" group data plans allow owners/managers to take control of the data, by canceling the user's account, or by totally removing them from the account.
