‘Mafia III’ Latest News & Updates: PC Specs Are Already Out and They Look Pretty Heavy

It is every gamer's short term goal to live as a gangster, drive vintage cars, and do much more through the masterpiece "Mafia III." While the awesome game can indeed give a player a great experience, it might be a little hard for those who plan to play it on older PCs. The system requirements for the game have been recently revealed, and a report says that it will push a computer's GPU to its limits.

GameSpot revealed in a report that as far as the game demands of the specs, they are actually reasonably modest. For Nvidia cards, it is recommended that a computer has a GTX 780 or GTX 1060 while the recommended AMD GPU is a Radeon R9 290X. Graphic cards have gotten very powerful and reasonably priced over the years in response to demands for games, so getting one to play "Mafia III" should not be an issue. Along with the system requirements, developer 2K released a picture which resembles an old magazine ad which jives with the game's old school feel.

Digital Trends noyed that most PC gamers might already have the required hardware to run the open world shooter at its basic settings. It is a different story, however, if one would desire to play the game at its optimal settings, since a player might need to stretch his budget for some upgrades. In its basic level, the game demands an Intel 15-2500K or an AMD FX-8120 at a minimum with the equivalent of a Radeon HD2870 or GeForce GTX 660 in power. Aside from that, the game requires that a PC run at least a 64-Bit version of Windows 7, 50GB of free hard drive space, and 2GB of video memory.

For higher resolutions, a computer would need to have an Intel I7-3770 or an AMD FX 8350 4.0 GHz equivalent in terms of the CPU's processing power. For maximum possible settings of "Mafia III," the developer recommends a Radeon R9 290X, GeForce GTX 78-, or GeForce GTX 1060. Players who want to play the game at the best quality possible also need a least 8GB of RAM and 4GB of video memory, says game developer 2K.
