‘Mortal Kombat X’ Release Date, News & Update: NetherRealm Confirms DLC for Xbox One, PS4; Patch to Release on MKXL PC Soon
"Mortal Kombat X" was said to be getting a new DLC and fans are calling it the Kombat Pack 3, following the name of the previous game updates which are Kombat Pack 1 and 2. But then, there is still no words from NetherRealm Studios so this new patch is not certain, at least for now.
The gaming company also stayed silent about the "Mortal Kombat X" DLC when it participated at the EVO 2016. Usually, such event serves as platform for game developers to introduce their games or make an announcement about what's new or any game developments. But the convention ended without any hint from the gaming studio.
Moreover, "Mortal Kombat X" co-creator Ed Boon said before that NetherRealm Studios do not want to reveal its plans in advance, thus they are not giving any details regarding the game. However, things changed when on Sept. 10, Boon updated his Twitter with confirmation that a new patch is coming.
"MKXL players! We WILL soon release a gameplay balance patch & ideally would like to target its release along with the PC launch of MKXL," he tweeted.
He added that the PC version of "Mortal Kombat XL" will also receive this new balancing patch which they are set to publish for Xbox One and Playstation 4. The game's co-creator further shared that they are planning to hold a Kombat Kast (pod cast) so fans will get to know more details on improvements and changes that they will be introducing soon.
With the confirmation, it seems that "Mortal Kombat X" players do not have to wait longer for the support that is long overdue. The game is not really in a bad shape right now but more and more issues are coming up since no DLC has been issued for some time, to fix them. Hence, the new update will somehow revive the game as its gameplay power is boosted.
Finally, "Mortal Kombat X" DLC is said to be released together with the "Mortal Kombat XL" for PC. The expected release date for all the updates is on Oct. 4. On the other hand, the MKX Pack 2 is scheduled for Oct. 5 release.
