Huawei Mate 9 leaks have confirmed that the device will be launched by the end of this year. The leaks have also hinted at some amazing specs for the device including a dual 20MP rear camera and a Kirin 960 processor.
Big display lovers will definitely be wowed by the Huawei Mate 9's 5.9-inch Full HD display, only a tad smaller than Mate 8's 6.0-inch display, reports Gizmodo UK. The device has been tipped for a December release.
Mate 7 came out in October 2014, the Mate 8 in November 2015 and now the Huawei Mate 9's December release seems likely. Rumors on Weibo prepped the phone's release in December.
The dual-lens 20MP camera includes a black and white image sensor and also a full color sensor, pretty much similar to that of Huawei P9 that has a camera of 12MP. Other specs leaked suggest a massive 6GB RAM, 2.8GHz Kirin 960 processor and 64GB internal storage. With such amazing specs, the Huawei Mate 9 better have a super-powerful battery to do justice to its features.
As per GSMArena, the dual 20MP rear cameras will be certified by Leica. The Huawei Mate 9 will run on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system together with Emotion UI 5.0. A leaked promo image of the device also shows a fingerprint sensor.
Apart from the leaked specs, nothing much is known about the Huawei Mate 9. However, it is anticipated that the Kirin 960 chipset would be using a 16nm process and octa-core CPU, writes iTech Post.
It would be interesting to see what Huawei does with the Huawei Mate 9's pricing. Even though a December launch is being speculated, Huawei has not said anything officially neither has it revealed the price. Hopefully more details will flow in soon. Analyst Pan Jiutang believes that the Kirin 960 chipset, octa-core CPU and dual-lens 20MP camera will make Huawei Mate 9 stand out from the rest.
