'Pokemon GO' Buddy System Tricks, News & Updates: How Many Kilometers Do You Need To Walk For Each Pokemon?

Niantic Labs recently introduced the "Pokemon Go" Buddy System which lets players earn candy for selected Pokemon to evolve and power up these quickly. There is also a detailed chart that provides the specifics on how far "Pokemon Go" trainers need to travel to for each creature.

GameSpot reported that to assign a Buddy Pokemon, players have to tap the photo of their trainer avatar and choose the Buddy option in the Menu screen. Select the creature that will become the "Pokemon Go" Buddy and begin walking to earn candy specific to it. "Pokemon Go" players can earn one candy when they reach certain distances.

Pokemon Go Hub stated that "Pokemon Go" Buddy Candy Distance and Size Chart was data mined from the GAME_MASTER file by user elfinlazz on a GitHub Gist page. The information may undergo  changes due to some updates and there may be some deviations in the actual game.

The usual Pokemon like Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Squirtle, Wartortle and Blastoise need "Pokemon Go" trainers to travel three kilometers to earn one candy.
