'Destiny' Latest News & Update: 'Rise of Iron' is Finally Here, Bungie Confirms Tower is Not Closing

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are in for another roller coaster ride today, Sept 20 as "Destiny: Rise of Iron" finally arrived. Developer Bungie Games released a hype trailer earlier this week that promises tons of addendums in multi-player setup.

Rumors and speculations about "Destiny: Rise of Iron" are beginning to unfold either as pure fairy tales or realities at fast pace during the week. Foremost among those busted is the rumor of shutting down the iconic Destiny tower. Bungie swats the rumors with confirmation that the tower will live on as players' space to meet the gunsmith and buy engrams.

The only confirmed change so far is removal of "The True Meaning of War" crucible now that "Destiny: Rise of Iron" is here. To compensate for the loss, new gameplay will offer alternatives to those who were able to complete their weekly bounty. Of course, there will be backlash and heartbreak for those who were not informed of this development. Bungie, will still push for reward system though unclear what, Game Rant reported.

Meanwhile, a new trailer for "Destiny: Rise of Iron" shows promising graphics. There are hints about improved gears including heavy-duty vests and more powerful armaments. The game also boasts more challenging raids and better social space apart from the tower, The TeCake reported.

To clear the murk about platform compatibility, "Destiny: Rise of Iron" is also compatible with PlayStation 3 apart from PS4. Bungie provides Microsoft compatibility for Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles as well.

Now there are two paths for "Destiny: Rise of Iron" fans now that the game is out. First is for players to jump into the bandwagon immediately and grab their copy from the shelf with hopes that  "Destiny: Rise of Iron"  will equal or surpass "The Dark Below" and "House of Wolves." Then secondly for reluctant gamers, wait a week or so because reviews and assessments are sure to flood from now on anyway.
