The release of Nintendo NX has been highly anticipated by millions of gamers across the globe. The upcoming console from the Japanese gaming manufacturer has been a favorite subject of numerous rumors and speculations all over the Internet.
As fans wait for the device to come out, which is expected to happen in March 2017, several concrete details about the device have been revealed. According to reports, the new Nintendo NX will come as a hybrid, which will work as a home console and a portable gaming device.
Although Nintendo has yet to confirm these reports, it will be interesting to see how the combination of two different systems works. In a report by Express Online, the new Nintendo NX does not have the same power and efficiency compared to Sony's upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro and Microsoft's Xbox One Scorpio. However, if the company announces the new NX as a hybrid handheld device, it will give Nintendo the advantage over Sony and Microsoft.
If rumors prove to be true, Nintendo NX users will be able to disengage the controllers from the handheld screen so they can plug the system into their TV for it to work as a gaming console. Nonetheless, fans should wait for the company to make the official announcement.
According to the Wall Street Journal tech analyst Takashi Mochizuki, Nintendo might provide solid details with regard to the development and the release of the Nintendo NX. "To clarify: Analysts expect NX unveiling by TGS next week, and if it would't be the case, there should be some updates by early October," Mochizuki posted on his Twitter account.
Meanwhile, Nintendo is expected to hold an event next month called Nintendo Direct. Tech experts believe that the October event is the perfect time for the company to reveal the Nintendo NX. Gamestop also reported that the company will release a "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" themed Nintendo 3DS XL on Oct. 28 in North America.
