‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ Latest News & Update: Not Groomed to be Part of PS4 Pro

Some bad news for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" fans, the game will not upgrade to support Sony's PS4 Pro. Specifically, the game does not support the 4K feature of the console, but it does support 4K in the PC platform.

In an interview with the Eurogamer, CD Projekt Red said, it's a bit too much for them to work on three projects at the same time. They also mentioned how they are currently working on "Cyberpunk 2077" and "Gwent." Apparently, converting "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" to 4K will be "too much of a time and resource-consuming process."

According to the developer, converting the "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" to 4K is just half of the work. Developing the details of the game's world is another problem. Apparently, they also need to adjust the environment of the game in order to make it valuable to the 4K feature.

"Showing everything at 4K resolution is one half of the problem. You need a good-looking world too, to hold up to scrutiny at 4K" said Digital Foundry's Tom Morgan." Previously, "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" was rumored to be one of the games included in the PS4 Pro console. Now, it looks like everything is settled; that the game should not be expected.

Gwent, the other game that CD Projekt Red is currently developing, is said to be similar to "The Witcher" game. It is scheduled to arrive on the Xbox One and PS4 console soon, alongside its current presence in the PC platform. Gwent, according to the developer is an open world game, features a 10-hour campaign and it has storylines that has a potential expanding stories.
