The new smartphone from LG, the LG V20, is no longer a secret as more details about the device have been shared at its launch event earlier this month in San Francisco. The upcoming smartphone is the first ever device to be shipped with the latest operating system from Android, the Android Nougat.

The LG V20 will start its sale on Sept. 29 in South Korea. However, those in the U.S. may need to wait a few weeks before they can get their hands on the smartphone. According to the tech giant, the V20 should be available internationally within the third quarter of this year. It is expected that the phone will be offered by major mobile carriers in the U.S., including Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint.

While no exact date has been announced, fans should expect this release to be imminent since T-Mobile already listed the device as "coming soon." However, it might be released at a later date if reports by renowned tipster Evan Blass prove to be true. According to Blass' report on VentureBeat, LG V20 will be available on the same date as the relaunch of the Galaxy Note 7, which will be on Oct. 21. Fans will just have to wait for further updates regarding the official release date of the phone.

Meanwhile, LG V20's specs and features got everyone talking, especially when it was revealed that the flagship has impressively advanced camera specs. The dual rear camera found in LG's latest device is comparable to iPhone 7 Plus' snapper. The main cameras have a 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel lens, while the selfie shooter has a five-megapixel lens.

Other specs and features include a dual-screen display. One measures 5.7 inches with 2560 x 1440 pixels of screen resolution; the other is a 2.1-inch always on secondary display. On board is a Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with 4 GB of RAM. The LG V20 is expected to cost about $800 in South Korea. As an unlocked model in the U.S., the device will likely be priced at $799.99.
