Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date, News & Update: Three Possible Release Dates Emerged; Microsoft Surface Book Gets NVIDIA GPUs?
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 details may not be revealed before next month's event. There are rumors claiming that the tech company will hold its Windows 10 Devices event in October.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is reported to cost $100 higher than Microsoft Surface Pro 4 price. Its new processor is believed to be the reason for the price increase, which could be a good indication that the upcoming tablet hybrid will come with several new features.
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to be launched in the Windows 10 Devices event, around the same time when Surface Pro 4 was released in 2015. However, there are rumors claiming that an October launch would be unlikely for the much awaited device.
Moreover, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be powered by the Kaby Lake processor. However, reports indicate that the processor will not be released until the end of 2016, while Intel has already launched low power U and Y series Kaby Lake processors.
Meantime, there are speculations that Microsoft may just refresh the latest Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 this year. With that, the upgrade may likely include a new processor and a few minor changes. Also, Surface Book is believed to get the Nvidia GPUs, The Bit Bag reported.
Meantime, other rumors also claim that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 may likely run the Redstone 2 version of the Windows 10 OS. However, other information beyond that remain to be speculations.
Although there has been no confirmation yet about the likely addition of even one USB-C port, this seems to be a good way for the tech giant to enhance the new hybrid tablet when it is formally launched, which is another reason for the tech enthusiasts to remain eagerly waiting for the upcoming device.
