While the whole smartphone industry is celebrating the release of Apple's seventh generation iPhone, other handset makers are preparing for a big launching before the year ends. One of the manufacturers today that are itching to release its new smartphone is the South Korean tech giant, LG. The company is gearing up for the release of its new LG V20 smartphone, which is expected to arrive in South Korea before this month ends.
LG has already launched the new LG V20 during an event in San Francisco earlier this month. Although the device will hit the shelves on Sep. 29 in South Korea, interested buyers in the U.S. will have to wait for a few more weeks before they can experience the impressive features of the new handset.
According to reports, the new LG V20 is the first ever handheld device to arrive with Android's latest mobile operating system, the Android 7.0 Nougat. LG claims that the new smartphone will be available internationally before the year ends. Mobile phone carriers in the U.S. such as T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint are already expected to offer this device once it hits the market.
Although the company has yet to provide the exact details of its western release, T-Mobile has already listed the LG V20 as "Coming Soon." However, fans may have to wait until late October for the device to come to North America. According to the popular tech tipster, Evan Blass, the upcoming LG V20 will be released on Oct. 21, which is the same exact schedule of Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 relaunch date.
Meanwhile, the new LG V20 definitely has the impressive specifications under the hood that would challenge any high-end smartphone in the market today. The device is expected to carry a 5.7-inch screen with a 2560 x 1440 pixels display resolution. It will also run on a powerful Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm, which will be paired with 4 GB of RAM. According to reports the new LG V20 will arrive with an $800 price tag.
