Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date, News & Update: Imminent Smartphone Arriving In 2017? Redstone 2, Kaby Lake Processor Reasons Behind Delay?
One of the most anticipated devices to arrive this year is the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. Reports say that the laptop will be released before 2016 ends but, until now, there has been no official announcement that was made for the device. Rumors and speculations continue for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, some say that it will have the seventh generation Intel's Kaby Lake Processor.
But, according to a report from Mobile & Apps, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 might be released next year if Microsoft will use the Kaby Lake as its processor and rely on the processor's release date. The seventh gen Kaby Lake Processor will be coming later this year, as stated by Navin Shenoy, the vice-president and general manager of Intel.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to have three screen sizes that consumers can choose from. It will have a 21-inch, 24-inch and 27-inch screen that comes with a 4K high resolution display, with these features gamers might also consider the Surface Pro 5 for gaming.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 might also come with the Microsoft's fourth major update to Windows 10 commonly known as the Redstone 2. The Redstone 2 update is going to be delayed until 2017, as stated by iDigitalTimes. This might also be one of the reasons why there will be no Microsoft Surface Pro 5 to be launched this year. The Redstone 2 is going to support a new generation of Microsoft-branded Windows 10 devices.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is also rumored to have a USB type-C port that will going to make data transfers easier and a lot faster. A Surface Pen is also one of its rumored features. The pen can be easily charged without wires because it will just be magnetically attached to its battery.
