Recent "Clash of Clans" news revealed that the massive update that was supposed to release in September 2016 has been postponed to October. Supercell previously announced that the new "Clash of Clans' patch's release date will be pushed back but it will feature more content, such as Halloween-related features.
iTechPost revealed that there are rumors that the big "Clash of Clans" update will arrive on October 11. Supercell previously wanted to feature the Sneak Peek on October 4 or 5, prompting players to believe that the update will launch a week later. One studio member said that the "Clash of Clans" patch will be introduced if everything goes according to plan. Fans were expecting more news at supposed ClashCon, but the event was cancelled.
Recently, the "Clash of Clans" game servers have been updated, allegedly to prepare for the next update, with the game patch bringing several new features and in-game balances. There are also talks that "Clash of Clans" players can mine gems for free in the new update. The patch will include the Clan Challenge, where players can send friendly war requests to any clan online. There will reportedly be a Town Hall 12, which means that more structure and unit upgrades will become available accordingly. If Town Hall 12 does not appear in the next "Clash of Clans" update, it will most likely arrive within the next 12 months.
Mobile & Apps stated that the "Clash of Clans" game server has already been upgraded to 8.481.x, showing that the new update is already ready to roll out. It is only a matter of time before Supercell officially launches the massive update. There are also reports that the delay may have been caused by the recent acquisition of Supercell by Tencent. However, Tencent is unlikely to interrupt the progress of "Clash of Clans" and may even open the game to more development teams to introduces various new approaches.
