‘Total War: Warhammer’ DLC Latest News & Update: New Gameplay To Allow Regiments Of Renown Recruitment By AI Factions? More Details Revealed

The coming "Total War: Warhammer" DLC will be introducing changes to the exciting gameplay of Total War. These changes will specifically target the recruitment of Regiments of Renown units.

Regiments of Renown units are special versions recently introduced by the "Total War: Warhammer" DLC The Grim and the Grave. These units significantly differ from their standard counterpart with their boosted stats as well as one or more special abilities not possessed by the standard units.

For instance, "Total War: Warhammer" game's The Tithe will have increased unit size and physical resistance, The Sunmaker will have increased rocket barrage thanks to their flaming attacks as well as the significantly more numerous missiles per attack. On the other hand, Regiment of Renown units of Feasters on the Dusk will have a vanguard deployment ability which is not available for the regular units, as stated in the official Total War Wiki site.

At the moment though, AI factions that belong to a race that has the capability to recruit Regiment of Renown units from their ranks are not allowed by the game to recruit. This restriction is about to change, as even AI factions may be able to recruit their own Regiment of Renown units in the coming "Total War: Warhammer" DLC update as announced by Creative Assembly in its reddit post.

According to the developer, the decision to allow AI factions to also recruit Regiment of Renown units are based on gamer response and feedback. These special units have been recently introduced by the "Total War: Warhammer" DLC the Grim and the Grave.

But, Creative Assembly placed some restrictions in the recruitment process by the AI factions. According to the post, only one faction per race may recruit a particular Regiments of Renown unit. The good thing is, the player will take precedence and other factions of the same race may no longer recruit the same Regiments of Renown unit selected by the "Total War: Warhammer" player.

Unfortunately, the twitter post did not include the release date of the upcoming "Total War: Warhammer" DLC that will update its game mechanics. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for updates.
