‘Final Fantasy VII’ Release Date, Latest Rumors & Update: Square Enix Slices Remake Plans

There is no official word yet on the official status of “Final Fantasy VII” with Square Enix tight-lipped about the remake. Folks got a glimpse of the “Final Fantasy VII” remake during E3 2015 but nothing has followed since then.

A year has passed and progress has been kept a minimum. Gamers were hoping to at least see the new things that Square Enix did for the remake of “Final Fantasy VII” but nothing was shown at E2 2016 or other gaming events.

Blame it on “Final Fantasy 15”

To explain the part of Square Enix not being able to render updates, a likely culprit is “Final Fantasy 15”. Neurogadget reported that the game developers have been focusing on and seen as the likely reason why the hype for “Final Fantasy VII” has not gained any ground.

With that said, Square Enix seems to be fine with the situation with expectations kept a minimum. That way, “Final Fantasy VII” can keep things at a minimum with lesser expectations and leave critics to make wild guesses on the game remake.

Then again, even if Square Enix opts to work on “Final Fantasy VII” without the attention, such is not expected to fend off features for the said game. One angle which should be interesting is whether the developers retain the old script or inject some new twists.

“Final Fantasy VII” Three-Part Series

Speaking of the storyline, “Final Fantasy VII” will reportedly come out in three parts. The first of three parts is speculated for release in 2018 with the others following via annual installments, Game Spot reported.

Depending on how one looks at it, there is great chance that “Final Fantasy VII” will hone up content which may include enhanced graphics and possibly additional modes. Being sliced in three installments, anything is possible to perk up the game possibilities for the beloved game.
