‘The Last of Us 2’ Release Date, News & Update: Development Team Confirmed Game Prototypes Were Made! Sequel Title Arriving in 2021?

"The Last of Us" is no doubt one of the most highly successful survival games that has been made and, now, fans have been clamoring for its sequel. It has been three years since the game was launched but, until now, Naughty Dog has not released any official announcements for its upcoming sequel yet. Hence, fans have been wondering what causes the delay of "The Last of Us 2" game

According to a report from Ecumenical News, Neil Druckmann, the creative director of "The Last of Us," said that they had already developed prototypes for "The Last of Us 2." But, sadly, their development team decided to stop because they prioritized the development of an "Uncharted 4" downloadable content.

And because Naughty Dog is focused on the development of "Uncharted 4" downloadable content, rumors suggest that "The Last of Us 2" will more likely be launched in 2021. Sources claim that developers will continue the game development some time in 2018 and it will come with official announcements.

Avid fans are hoping that Naughty Dog will show off "The Last of Us 2" on the next annual video game conference, the Electronic Entertainment Expo. According to Christian Today, even though there hasn't been any official announcement made for "The Last of Us" sequel, it is inevitable because of the success of the first installment.

Neil Druckmann, also confirmed that "The Last of Us 2" will be having a new storyline, as stated in our previous report. There will also be additional leading characters in the upcoming game and an LGBT character is one of the lead characters.
