Chinese smartphone manufacturer is rumored to develop a successor to the 2016-released OnePlus 3. OnePlus 4 is expected to be an improved version of the current model packed with superior performance that is said to be on par with the biggest names in the industry. The tech firm has not made an official announcement regarding details about the next iteration of OnePlus smartphones, but rumors about the device's specs, features and even release date have already made the rounds.

According to reports, OnePlus is aiming to make OnePlus 4 carry unique specs and features to really make it stand out from upcoming releases from top smartphone companies. Some tech giants are expected to have dual-edge curved displays on their smartphones and Apple's rumored iPhone 8 is said to boast of an all-glass display, but OnePlus' next iteration is said to have an OLED pressure-sensitive screen, The Bitbag reported.

Under the hood, OnePlus 4 is rumored to feature 8 GB of RAM paired with a Snapdragon 830 processor, which should make the device perform fast. A 64 GB internal storage capacity is likely, just like its predecessor, and this could also be expanded to 128 GB. However, it is also possible that OnePlus would up its game this time by having a more expandable storage capacity of 256 GB. People would be pleased to have a phone that can store a large amount of files, especially those who like to take pictures.

To be able to capture beautiful images, OnePlus 4 is said to have either a 21 or 23-megapixel main camera. The device is also rumored to have a 4,000 mAh battery pack capable of wireless charging; the battery power should be enough for users to make the most out of the phone's features.  An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is also one of the rumored features of the upcoming OnePlus smartphone.

As mentioned, OnePlus hasn't confirmed anything yet, but OnePlus 4 is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2017. OnePlus 3 was unveiled this year in June and it's likely that the company will follow the same schedule for the next iteration. While it's too early to predict how much OnePlus 4 would actually cost, MSN predicted that the smartphone will be priced somewhere between $399 and $449. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more updates.
