Cleveland Cavaliers Latest News & Update: Chris Bosh to Sign In February?

Miami Heat President Pat Riley pulls the trigger to prompt a divorce against power forward Chris Bosh. If anything good comes out of Bosh-Heat split up, it could be the possibility of rejoining LeBron James in Cleveland Cavaliers - at least according to predictions.

Looking in the team rosters fielding for NBA 2016-17 season, Chris Bosh is unlikely to land in early trade. Teams were primed and fired up to start in Oct 25 so last minute adjustments are not possible. Further, Bosh is still technically leashed with the Heat until February next year. When he gets health clearance by then, it may be the opportune time for new squad. But then, which team will sign him?

To set into technical perspective, Chris Bosh last played against the Spurs in Feb 9 this year. NBA rule stipulates Miami heat to wait for exactly one year before they can file exception for their former captain. By then, Cleveland Cavaliers is rumored to be ready with a contract for Bosh. The Cavs surfaced as rumored destination because of LeBron James statement that Bosh has his full support, Sportsrageous reported.

Sources revealed that Chris Bosh could play but the Cavs need to consider his health condition and take it slow. According to Fansided, Bosh is taking blood thinners but there are few precedents that clotting in his lungs will not recur. His physicians believe that any drastic and highly strenuous activities could amplify the risks. Taking these hindrances into consideration, Bosh could play in second team next to Kevin Love.

Now about Chris Bosh reaction, the power forward bursts that he was not notified by Riley when breakup announcement was made. Bosh was expecting that he could return to the squad but failed to get clean bill of health. He said that he is taking a new class of thinner that has shorter duration so presumably safer. Though Riley justified that they were only after Bosh's welfare when they decided to let him go.
