Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Program Lists ‘Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed,’ ‘Puzzle Quest Galactrix’ & ‘Puzzle Quest 2’! More Details Revealed

Microsoft is adding new game titles to its ever-expanding Xbox One backwards compatibility list. Recently, three more games were announced that have been made backwards compatible. Larry Hryb, working on the Xbox team, posted the visuals of the three games.

The three games with Xbox One backwards compatibility are "Puzzle Quest Galactrix," "Puzzle Quest 2" and "Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed." One can view the tweet here. "Puzzle Quest Galactrix" launched in 2009 and was made available in multiple platforms including Nintendo DS, PC, Playstation 3's Playstation Network service and Xbox 360's Xbox Live Arcade.

"Puzzle Quest 2," the other game getting Xbox One backwards compatibility, was a sequel to the original "Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords" that launched in 2007. "Puzzle Quest 2" received largely positive reviews after its Xbox 360 Live Arcade and Nintendo DS launch.

The game was looked at as a major improvement from the earlier version and its gameplay was praised a lot, writes Mobile & Apps. "Puzzle Quest 2" is also available on Windows Phone, Android, iOS and PC. It is a great add in the Xbox One backwards compatibility list.

The final game in the set getting the Xbox One backwards compatibility is the Sega and Sumo Digital's kart racing game "Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed." The game is a sequel to the "Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing." It's the eighth racing game in the "Sonic the Hedgehog" series and the fourth installment in the "Sega Superstars" series.

"Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed" was also the launch title for Wii U in Europe and North America. Thus, the Xbox One backwards compatibility list now has more than 250 games since the program launch in November 2015. "Call of Duty: World At War" has also been made backwards compatible.
