Microsoft Surface Pro 5 has been a favorite subject of several reports and speculations all over the Internet since the beginning of 2016. There are also speculations suggesting that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be released along with Microsoft Surface Book 2 and the company's new flagship smartphone, Microsoft Surface Phone.
Although some industry experts are saying that the possibility of a 2016 release of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is still there, the device will most likely run on a different processor, which is probably the current Sky Lake. According to reports, the powerful chipset is currently not available at this time; however, Intel has already confirmed its arrival later this year.
There are reports saying that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will arrive in two versions, which will differ in display technology. According to the report, the entry model will support 2K display, while the high-end variant will most likely arrive with a 4K display resolution.
Meanwhile, in another report, industry observers expect the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 to come with a similar price tag as its predecessor at $899; however, the top-tier variant is expected to be sold at a much higher price. Other features of the device include a 16 MP rear camera paired with an 8 MP front-facing shooter along with a USB Type-C port.
