'Resident Evil 7' Release Date, News & Update: Gameplay, Enemies, Weapons, Heal Items Revealed! Capcom Adds Auto-Save Feature, But Depending On Difficulty?

The game aficionados are now all waiting for the coming of "Resident Evil 7" as Capcom promised to make it a little different from the others. Little details about the survival horror video game are now surfacing online that tease and excite the fans more.

Resident Evil 7' Gameplay, Enemies, Weapons, Heal Items

According to Game Rant, "Resident Evil 7" will be played through a first-person viewpoint as switched by Capcom. It will feature more horrors that will surely scare the things out of its players. "Resident Evil 7" will continue after apocalyptic events of "Resident Evil 6," but the exact time is not yet revealed. It is also noted that the new installment will have a new set of characters and will be led by an ordinary individual.

Players will play the role of Ethan in "Resident Evil 7." He is looking for his lost wife that will lead him to the Baker family's spoiled farm. From there, the greatest horror of his life will start. It is not yet sure what kind of elements Ethan will face, but Capcom already revealed that zombie-like creatures are coming. The gamers can use pistols, shotguns and axes against their enemies and will have the ability to heal themselves with green herbs, first-aid sprays and other classic returning items.

Resident Evil 7 Will Be Auto-Save But Depending On Its Difficulty

Meanwhile, producer Masachika Kawata confirmed that "Resident Evil 7" removed the "chapter-based progression system" to allow the players to save the game strategically. "The game is a linear experience, meaning not that there's only one way through, rather it takes place in a linear timeline, so it's not divided into chapters," he told Yugatech. But, he explained that the save system will vary on the stage's difficulty, but there will be auto-saves.

"However, as far as saving is concerned, there's an auto-save system, so if you die you can restart not as far back. There will also be rooms to act as manual save points," Masachika Kawata added. The harder the difficulty in "Resident Evil 7," the saving system might be tough, too. "Resident Evil 7" will be released on Jan. 24, 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and will exclusively for PlayStation VR for its first year.
