iPad Air 3 Release Date, News & Update: Apple Stops Production of iPad Air Due to Several Tablet-like Phones?

Until now there hasn't been any official announcement for the iPad Air 3. Several rumors are saying that the tablet might not arrive this year. Despite of the rumors, several fans are still hoping that it would be launched this upcoming October 27 event by Apple.

According to a report from MacWorld, several tech critics predicted that the iPad Air 3 would be released last October 2015. But among all the rumors and speculations, Apple made no official announcements for the iPad Air 3.

The prediction was based on when Apple would usually launch its new iPad Air tablets. The first iPad Air was released on a month of November but it was officially announced on October 22, 2013, while the iPad Air 2 was announced to journalists on October 16, 2014.

However, the iPad Pro 9.7 was announced last March 2016, while this new Apple tablet may not be a laptop but it is more than simply an iPad Air 3 as stated by TechRadar. There are also rumors that say Apple might actually be stopping the production of the iPad Air's and stick to the iPad Pro's instead.

If there will be an iPad Air 3 released it would probably be compatible with an Apple Pen, it will also have a thinner and lighter design compared to its predecessors. A Smart Keyboard Cover is also one of its rumored features. This new feature will be easily connected to a smart connector located on the left side edge of the device. The smart connector will enable the keyboard cover to drag the power from the iPad Air 3's battery.

Some reports also say that Apple is delaying the launch of the iPad Air 3 because of the tablets drop of sales in the market, and that is because of the several tablet-like phones surfacing these days. Apple could only be waiting for the best time to launch the iPad Air 3.
