2K Games just released the new update for "NBA 2K17" for PlayStation 4, which brings improvements to gameplay, as well as fixes to glitches that have been making the game experience less pleasant for players. Taking up 7.14 GB of storage space, update 1.04 is now available and it has finally addressed the issue about the shot meter. Gameplay Director Mike Wang posted on Twitter encouraging fans to let the 2K team know if the shot meter glitch is still around, which suggests that the problem should have been fixed this time around.
Even after the "NBA 2K17" Patch 1.04 update went live, some people continue to experience a glitch characterized by a black screen that appears just before the game. One Reddit user reported this issue, according to PlayStation Lifestyle, but another seem to have found the solution that worked, which is to press X or O when the black screen appears.
Meanwhile, the general changes that came with Patch 1.04 for "NBA 2K17" include the problem in which post-release colors of the uniform will be in conflict with the uniform of the opposing team during match-ups. The Who's Online menu problem in which friends list would disappear as players view it has also been fixed. The score on the scoreboard will no longer update after a shot basket is made, unless the animation is done to avoid confusion. Finally, issues with Contact Dunk animations have also been corrected.
There are only a few gameplay updates that came with "NBA 2K17" Patch 1.04. 2K Games have worked around the issue on the Relentless Finisher badge, in which proper bonuses will now be given on contact layups. There was also a glitch in which players will experience freezing of the game once a rebound is attempted, and this has been fixed as well. Update 1.04 is available for PS4, but Xbox One players may need to wait a little since a new patch will be rolled out "at a later time." Unfortunately for PC users, 2K Games still doesn't have any information about the arrival of a new patch.
