Opie and Anthony Tear Into EA's 'SimCity,' Server Issues Begin Resolving

When everything falls to pieces around you, and you can't even get a simple game to work for you, sometimes it's a bit reassuring to know that even the fabulously wealthy are having the same problems.

EA once again become the bane of gamers across the States, including Anthony Cumia, of the satellite radio show "Opie & Anthony." Listen to the clip below, as he expresses his own pain that much of us have felt, coming as a result of EA's server issues of late. NSFW, but you knew that coming into this post.

Thankfully, it looks as though EA has since managed to fix the majority of their server issues since Ant's rant on Friday morning.

"I'm happy to report that the core problem with getting in and having a great SimCity experience is almost behind us," wrote EA Maxis boss Lucy Bradshaw on EA's blog. Bradshaw didn't go into depth about what sort of adjustments the team made in order to finally get the servers up and running, but reported favorable results regardless.

"Our players have been able to connect to their cities in the game for nearly 8 million hours of gameplay time and we've reduced game crashes by 92% from day one." In the end, Bradshaw thanked fans for their patience, and was happy the issue seemed to be a thing of the past.

"You put your faith in us. You bought the game with the understanding that we'd quickly fix the server issues. For that support - that incredible commitment from our fans - we are deeply grateful. As the general manager of Maxis, I want you to know that we cherish your faith in us, and the love you've shown for this franchise," she concluded.
